THE FOUNDERS

Ale y Xidan

Ale and Xidan - Founders of AXcent Dance

We are Alessandro and Xidan, the founders of AXcent Dance. Our journey began with a shared passion for Bachata Sensual and a vision to create a dance school that goes beyond just teaching steps. We believe in building a community where everyone feels welcome, supported, and inspired to express themselves.

As International Artists

We have shared our passion in over 12 countries. We are also proud to serve as official judges for the Swiss Championship IDO and are active event organizers, dedicated to elevating the dance community.

Our Philosophy

Our teaching methodology is built on a strong foundation of technique, musicality, and connection. We don't just teach you what to do, but how to do it with style and fluidity. We draw inspiration from various dance styles to create a unique and modern approach to Bachata.

CONNECTING THE COMMUNITY

Curating World-Class Experiences

Beyond the studio, we strive to create exceptional dance experiences. From curating Zurich's largest Dominican event to co-organizing one of Italy's most prestigious congresses, we bring the community together with passion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! All our classes are taught in English to welcome our international community in Zurich. We also speak German, Italian, Spanish, and Mandarin if you need extra clarification!
Are the teachers certified? +
Absolutely. Our instructors are trained in Bachata Sensual and continuously update their skills at international festivals and masterclasses. Plus, Ale & Xidan are certified IDO judges.
What is "Bachata Sensual"? +
Bachata Sensual is a style that evolved from traditional Bachata in Spain, created by Korke and Judith. It focuses more on connection and body movements than on footwork. Read more in our Bachata Style Guide.
